CreativeWriting

What is it?

CreativeWriting develops your child’s ability to excel in English composition through structured and engaging narrative writing lessons. Students are explicitly taught the step-by-step process of writing compelling stories, including narrative techniques, descriptive language, and key storytelling elements such as introduction, climax, and resolution.

With a deeper sense of language awareness, your child will learn to write imaginative and captivating compositions — stories that draw the reader in and keep them engaged.

This programme helps Primary students build a strong writing foundation that supports success in school assignments and examinations under the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR).

Why is it Important?

CreativeWriting is designed as an all-inclusive narrative writing skills programme to take your child’s English composition writing to an advanced level. CreativeWriting guides your child in writing an impressive narrative through:

  • Brainstorming, discussing and evaluating narrative ideas;

  • Enhancing creative thinking skills;

  • Developing descriptive and figurative language;

  • Applying dialogue and expressive vocabulary;

  • Refining proofreading and self-editing skills;

  • Applying LCentral’s writing tips and techniques; and

  • Analysing model compositions to achieve high standards.
